Dakota Hudson can't make it through five Tuesday

by Elliott Baas | Rockies Correspondent | Wed, Apr 10th 12:35am EDT

Dakota Hudson pitched 4.2 scoreless innings in the Cardinals'4-0 win over the Dodgers on Tuesday. He allowed six hits, four walks, and struck out four in the no decision.

Fantasy Impact:

Even though Hudson didn't allow a run, it took him 100 pitches to get 14 outs and he left with the bases loaded in the top of the fifth. It was a little frustrating, because Hudson would've earned a win had he gotten the final out. Walks were a huge problem for Hudson last year, as he posted a ghastly 15.3% walk rate in 27.1 innings. There's enough prospect pedigree here to make Hudson interesting, but he doesn't have much value outside of NL-only leagues right now. His next start comes Monday at the Brewers, and no fantasy owners should start him in that game.
