Max Scherzer (ankle) questionable for Saturday's start

by Garett Thomas | Rangers Correspondent | Wed, Apr 10th 5:28pm EDT

Max Scherzer was seen with his right ankle wrapped and throwing a flat ground on Wednesday. At this point in his routine, Scherzer is normally throwing a bullpen from the mound. The Nationals expect Scherzer to throw a bullpen Thursday so that they can test his ankle's strength and determine his status for Saturday. (Mark Zuckerman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Scherzer sounds as if he will not miss a start, just get pushed back a day or two. Annibal Sanchez, who is behind Scherzer in the rotation, would be able to pitch Saturday on normal rest if Scherzer needed more time. Monitor the situation as it is ongoing and nothing has been made official.
