Corbin Burnes can't make it through five Friday
by Elliott Baas | Orioles Correspondent | Sat, Apr 13th 11:21am EDT
Corbin Burnes allowed five runs on nine hits over 4.1 innings in the Brewers' 8-5 win over the Dodgers on Friday. He walked two and struck out three in the no decision.
Fantasy Impact:
Burnes also allowed three home runs in this one, and has allowed nine in his first three starts. Home runs have never been a problem for Burnes in the past, but the long ball has been his biggest problem in 2019 thus far. Burnes' issue has been poor fastball location. Eight of nine home runs have come off his fastball, and that's because Burnes has a tendency to catch too much plate with the pitch. His next start comes Wednesday against St. Louis, but Burnes isn't usable right now.
