Paul Goldschmidt has two-hit day Saturday
by Elliott Baas | Cardinals Correspondent | Sun, Apr 14th 12:41pm EDT
Paul Goldschmidt went 2-for-5 with a pair of singles in the Cardinals' 5-2 loss to the Reds on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
Goldschmidt also struck out twice in this game, once to Tanner Roark and once to Jared Hughes. Goldschmidt has shown impressive power thus far, with six home runs and a .327 ISO in 64 PA, but he is only hitting .200 with a 28% strikeout rate. It's too early to worry about a player of Goldschmidt's caliber, as one can expect his .161 BABIP to rise a substantial amount, even if Goldschmidt has a 56.8% flyball rate so far.
