Lourdes Gurriel will be sent to Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports. He went 0-for-1 in a pinch-hit appearance Sunday against the Rays. (Shi Davidi on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Gurriel is only hitting .175 with seven RBI over 13 games to start the year. Fantasy owners should move on from the 25-year-old infielder for another option on the waiver wire. Eric Sogard is getting called up to replace Gurriel on the Jays roster.
