Javier Baez went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored in the Cubs' 7-2 win over the Marlins on Monday.
Fantasy Impact:
Baez raised his average to .288 and his SLG to .545 after this one. He is striking out 32% of the time through 69 PA thus far, but Baez is known to be a free-swinger. Hopefully, he can bring that strikeout rate below 30% soon, because 30% is about the breaking point when it comes to productivity. Obviously, Baez has the talent to overcome a big strikeout rate, but the lower the better in his case.
