Zack Wheeler tosses quality start in loss to Phillies Wednesday
by Mike Maher | Phillies Correspondent | Wed, Apr 17th 8:53pm EDT
Mets starting pitcher Zack Wheeler allowed three earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five over seven innings in a loss to the Phillies on Wednesday. The loss drops him to 1-2 on the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Wheeler allowed two home runs on the day after allowing just one through his first three starts. While Wednesday was a step in the right direction, he has also now walked 14 batters over 22 2/3 innings to start the season. He will look to get things under control when he takes on this same Phillies squad at home in his next start.
