Miles Mikolas delivers eight solid innings in win Saturday

by Elliott Baas | Cardinals Correspondent | Sat, Apr 20th 5:34pm EDT

Miles Mikolas allowed two runs on four hits over eight innings in the Cardinals' 10-2 win over the Mets on Saturday. He walked two and struck out four while improving to 2-1.

Fantasy Impact:

This was Mikolas' best start of the year so far, as he went beyond six innings for the first time and allowed fewer than three runs for the first time. Sadly, his four strikeouts were also a season high. We knew Mikolas wasn't going to be racking up K's like Max Scherzer, but his 4.66 K/9 is worse than most expected. This was at least a step in the right direction for Mikolas, whose next chance comes Friday against the Reds.
