Austin Meadows has been placed on the 10-day IL with a thumb sprain. (Josh Tolentino on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Meadows has been playing at an elite level so far in 2019 so him hitting the IL is a huge blow to fantasy teams and the Rays. He's slashed .351/.422/.676 through 20 games this season so hopefully this thumb sprain won't keep him out for much longer than the minimum number of days required on the IL.
