Gio Gonzalez being pursued by Mets?

Free agent starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez, who was recently released from his contract with the New York Yankees, is being inquired about by the New York Mets, according to Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports. (Matt Ehalt on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
With deGrom on the disabled list and Jason Vargas struggling mightily, the Mets could use someone like Gonzalez to help bolster their rotation. While he did not pitch particularly well for the Yankee's Triple-A affiliate, he is just one year removed from a 2.96 ERA for the Washington Nationals. Perhaps most importantly, he has thrown at least 170 innings in eight of his last nine season.
