Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) undergoes successful surgery, remains six weeks away

by Garett Thomas | Rangers Correspondent | Tue, Apr 23rd 12:33pm EDT

Nathan Eovaldi underwent a successful surgical procedure on his right elbow on Tuesday. The pitcher's procedure was needed to remove loose bodies from his elbow. The Red Sox expect Eovaldi to miss six weeks. (MassLive.com: Chris Cotillo)

Fantasy Impact:

Eovaldi should be back in 2019 but is reportedly six weeks away. Eovaldi had the same surgery last season and missed two months, however that procedure was done while rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. Redraft leagues can hold onto him if there is an IL-spot available; if not, cut ties and look elsewhere.
