Giancarlo Stanton receives cortisone shot for shoulder

Yankees manager Aaron Boone says Giancarlo Stanton is fully recovered from his biceps strain but also needed a cortisone shot in his left shoulder. (Bryan Hoch on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Stanton will remain in southern California this weekend before joining the team in Arizona. He won't play on this current Yankees road trip but isn't too far from returning. Stanton is expected to ramp up his swinging in Arizona. The cortisone shot is an unexpected setback but the big takeaway here is that is recovered from the biceps strain that originally landed him on the IL.
