Corey Kluber's X-rays reveal fractured bone in right arm

by Mike Maher | Wed, May 1st 10:09pm EDT

Indians starter Corey Kluber left Tuesday's start against the Miami Marlins after being hit in the right arm by a comebacker off the bat of Brian Anderson. He left the game immediately, and The Athletic's Zack Meisel reports that Kluber has a non-displaced fracture of his right ulna bone. (Zack Meisel on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The ulna bone is a long bone found in the forearm, and Kluber's injury is unfortunately to his pitching arm. More information, including a potential timeline for his recovery, should become clearer on Wednesday or Thursday after the pitcher undergoes further tests and is evaluated by team doctors. At the very least, fantasy owners should expect to be without the ace for at least a few weeks.
