Jameson Taillon picks up second win Wednesday

by Elliott Baas | Cubs Correspondent | Wed, May 1st 11:35pm EDT

Jameson Taillon allowed four runs (three earned) on five hits over 6.1 innings in the Pirates' 7-5 win over the Rangers on Wednesday. He walked two and struck out five while improving to 2-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Taillon gave up two home runs in this start, which is uncharacteristic since he'd only given up two all year prior to this outing. That's the difference between pitching in PNC Park, like he does at home, and pitching in a place like Globe Life Park. Still, Taillon did enough for the quality start and the win, which makes this a decent outing, especially in a place like Texas. His next start comes Tuesday vs. Texas at home.
