Felipe Vazquez picked up his eighth save after pitching a scoreless ninth in the Pirates' 7-5 win over the Rangers on Wednesday. He allowed one hit, one walk, and struck out two.
Fantasy Impact:
It was a little shaky for Vazquez, he gave up a double and a walk, but he got the job done for his club once again. In an era of bullpen-by-committees and seemingly constant closer turnover, Vazquez's stability perhaps his most valuable trait as a fantasy asset. Even though he's on a so-so team, he's still one of the best closers in the game today.
