Yankees manager Aaron Boone says James Paxton (knee) received a cortisone injection and will be shut down for 5-7 days. (Bryan Hoch on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Paxton was placed on the IL earlier today with knee inflammation. It's a big blow to a New York rotation that is already without Luis Severino. The Yankees will update Paxton's status after this 5-7 day window. Jonathan Loaisiga is expected to take Paxton's spot in the rotation for now.
