Freddy Peralta pitches five scoreless in win Tuesday

by Elliott Baas | Brewers Correspondent | Wed, May 8th 12:27am EDT

Freddy Peralta delivered five scoreless innings in relief in the Brewers' 6-0 win over the Nationals on Tuesday. He walked two and struck out five while improving to 2-1.

Fantasy Impact:

Adrian Houser was used as an opener ahead of Peralta in this one, but Peralta did most of the heavy lifting and therefore got the win. It would be an oversimplification to say that the opener is the reason for Peralta's success, but less exposure is probably better for a pitcher with a limited repertoire like Peralta. Whether he starts or is used in long relief, his next outing would likely be Monday at Philadelphia.
