Fantasy Impact:
DeShields has struggled mightily to start the season batting just .182 before the demotion. Despite putting up 8 stolen bases this year (tied for 6th most in the Majors), he simply isn't contributing in other categories with his slow start. The move will put Joey Gallo in center field more regularly.
