Andrew Miller takes second loss Friday

by Elliott Baas | Sat, May 11th 11:10am EDT

Andrew Miller allowed the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth and fell to 1-2 in the Cardinals' 2-1 loss to the Pirates on Friday. He allowed three hits, one earned run, and struck out one in his lone inning of work.

Fantasy Impact:

Miller allowed three singles, which eventually brought the winning run around. He had gone four straight outings without allowing a run prior to this game, which is tied for his longest streak of the season. Although not a problem in this outing, his control has been a huge issue this season. Miller has a 6.08 BB/9 and a 40.8% zone rate, both career worsts. He isn't getting saves and has a 5.40 ERA and 7.02 FIP, so Miller's not really worth holding onto in most leagues.
