Cole Irvin goes seven strong innings in MLB debut

Phillies starter Cole Irvin allowed one earned run on five hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings in a win over the Kansas City Royals in his MLB debut on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact:
Irvin was excellent on Sunday, but his stay in the major leagues might be a short one with Vince Velasquez possibly missing only a single start. Still, it was a debut that will give the Phillies something to think about should any of their starters struggle in the coming weeks.
