Nicky Lopez called up by Royals

24-year-old infielder Nicky Lopez has been called up to join the Royals for tonight's game against the Rangers in Kansas City.
Fantasy Impact:
Lopez hit .353/.457/.500 with three home runs and nine steals in 31 games with Triple-A Omaha this season. Whit Merrifield is expected to play full-time in the outfield in lieu of the promotion and Lopez is expected to become the club's everyday second basemen. He's an intriguing prospect to keep an eye on in deeper leagues.
