Mets starter Wilmer Font allowed five earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two over 2 1/3 innings in a loss to the Washington Nationals on Tuesday. The loss drops him to 1-1 on the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Font is only starting because both Stephen Matz and Jason Vargas are both on the injured list, and he is not making a strong case for staying in the rotation, with his ERA now sitting at 7.08. If he makes his next start, it would likely come against this same Nationals squad at home.
