Cole Irvin earns second win Friday

by Mike Maher | Phillies Correspondent | Sat, May 18th 7:35am EDT

Phillies starter Cole Irvin allowed three earned runs on five hits and one walk while striking out two over six innings in Friday's win over the Colorado Rockies. The win brings him to 2-0 through his first two starts.

Fantasy Impact:

While he only struck out two batters and allowed a two-run home run to Ian Desmond, Irvin managed to scatter six baserunners over six innings to earn the win. He has just seven strikeouts over his first 13 innings but sports an excellent 2.77 ERA and 0.92 WHIP. It is unclear if he is sticking in the rotation for his next turn, but his next start would come against the Cubs in Chicago.
