Pablo Lopez tosses seven one-hit innings in win over Mets
by Mike Maher | Twins Correspondent | Sun, May 19th 8:28am EDT
Marlins starter Pablo Lopez allowed no runs and just one hit and two walks while striking out seven over seven innings in Saturday's win over the New York Mets. The win brings him to 3-5 on the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Considering Lopez entered Saturday's game with an ERA near 6.00 and was coming off an outing in which he allowed 10 earned runs to this same Mets squad, this was an unexpected outcome. His ERA is now down to 5.06 after Saturday, and while his 49 strikeouts over 48 innings give him some streaming appeal, he is hard to trust on a regular basis in fantasy. His next start is scheduled to come against the Nationals in Washington.
