James Paxton (knee) could rejoin Yankees by end-of-week

by Garett Thomas | Dodgers Correspondent | Tue, May 21st 6:10pm EDT

James Paxton will travel with the Yankees to Tampa Bay. The starting pitcher will then pitch a three-inning simulated game on Friday. If all goes well, he could be back in the Yankee rotation. Paxton has been on the IL since May 4th due to a knee injury. (Bryan Hoch on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Paxton has experienced a solid 2019 but has been battling knee issues most of the year. Team managers who roster Paxton should be aware of the flame-thrower's injury history, however he is a must start when he is healthy and pitching. So far in 37.2 innings pitched, Paxton has a 3.11 ERA, 2.48 FIP and has fanned 52 batters to only 13 walks.
