Khris Davis likely heading to the injured list

Khris Davis, who was removed from the A's game against the Indians on Tuesday, is likely headed to the injured list, according to Susan Slusser. (Susan Slusser on Twitter)

Davis himself said that he believes an IL stint is necessary. Although he'll get an MRI on Wednesday, it seems likely that he will indeed be shelved for at least 10 days. Davis actually described the injury as an oblique, not a hip, ailment, which generally requires a lengthier absence. The A's should provide more updates on Wednesday.
