German Marquez dominates in Pittsburgh on Tuesday

German Marquez improved to 5-2 on Tuesday night in Pittsburgh, throwing eight shutout innings while striking out seven.

Fantasy Impact:

Marquez allowed just three hits and walked one in the eventual 5-0 win. The 24-year-old was simply fantastic in this one, which lowered his season ERA to 3.38 as we approach Memorial Day. The only downside to Marquez as a fantasy asset is that he struggles in Coors Field, which is his home ballpark. Still, he should wind up with enough matchups to exploit to make him useful. Marquez gets the Orioles at home next time out, which should actually be a good time to start him at Coors.
