Luke Jackson blows fourth save, takes loss Tuesday

by Mike Maher | Giants Correspondent | Wed, May 22nd 10:13am EDT

Braves reliever Luke Jackson allowed three runs on four hits in two-thirds of an inning to blow his fourth save and take his first loss of the season.

Fantasy Impact:

The Braves have not been able to lock down anyone in the ninth inning role this season, and Jackson is the latest reliever to either suffer an injury or struggle in the role. He has now blown three saves in the last week, including two in a row. While he pitched well for the first several weeks of the season and seemed to be running away with the closer role, Atlanta will likely give other relievers, such as Sean Newcomb, some looks in the ninth inning going forward.
