Matt Carpenter went 1-for-6 with three runs scored, two RBI, and a home run in Wednesday's doubleheader against the Royals.
Fantasy Impact:
Like last year, Carpenter is having a dreadful first half, batting just .203. But his ability to draw a walk - he has 31 on the season already - should keep him batting atop the lineup and his runs scored total passable. Given his historic second half last year, owners shouldn't panic at the slow start.
