Tucker Barnhart falls triple shy of cycle Saturday

by Elliott Baas | Diamondbacks Correspondent | Sun, May 26th 11:02am EDT

Tucker Barnhart went 3-for-4 with a single, double, two-run home run, and two runs scored in the Reds' 8-6 loss to the Cubs on Saturday.

Fantasy Impact:

Barnhart fell a triple shy of the cycle in this one. A triple wouldn't be too far-fetched for Barnhart; he hit three last year. Alas, it wasn't meant to be and he was saddled with a meager three-hit day and his fifth home run of the year. He raised his average to a robust .195 after this game, though his 12.5% walk rate gives him a more palatable .296 OBP. Barnhart is a deep league or two-catcher league option at this point.
