Rob Manfred's changes could lead to a big debut for Garrett Jones

Garrett Jones pulled 47% of his hits in 2014 and if the new commissioner's mandate on the removal of shifts is approved, it could lead to a big start to Jones' New York tenure. (NJ.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Jones has been solid, if not unspectacular, over his MLB tenure, with a .764 OPS in 854 games over seven seasons. Jones will be relied on against right handed pitchers this year and has posted 20 home runs or more three times in his career, including in 2009 when he had a similar role with the Pirates. Jones may not get more than 450 at bats this year, but between the specialized role as a left-handed DH and the possible removal of the shift, he could be worth spot starts or daily fantasy adds.
