Sandy Alcantara tosses six shutout innings in no-decision Thursday

by Mike Maher | Marlins Correspondent | Fri, May 31st 10:00am EDT

Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara tossed six shutout innings in a no-decision against the San Francisco Giants, allowing two hits and five walks while striking out three over six innings.

Fantasy Impact:

Alcantara has now sandwiched a loss to the Nationals in which he allowed four earned runs with 15 shutout innings thanks to Thursday’s start and a complete game shutout over the Mets two starts ago. His ERA is down to 4.08 on the year, but his WHIP is still high at 1.41 due in part to the fact that he has walked at least four batters in four different starts this season. His next start is scheduled to come against the Brewers in Milwaukee and is one those who stream starters in fantasy should avoid.
