Patrick Corbin gets roughed up by Reds Friday

by Mike Maher | Nationals Correspondent | Sat, Jun 1st 7:31am EDT

Nationals starter Patrick Corbin allowed six earned runs on 11 hits and no walks while striking out two over just 2 2/3 innings in Friday’s loss to the Cincinnati Reds. The loss drops him to 5-3 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Corbin was coming off of a complete game shutout of the Marlins in his last start, so Friday’s rough outing against the Reds was disappointing for fantasy owners hoping for a repeat performance. He had dropped his ERA to 2.85 heading into Friday but saw it jump back up to 3.46 after the loss. He now has 83 strikeouts over 75 1/3 innings and will take on the Padres in San Diego in his next start.
