Dwight Smith dealing with a concussion
by John Aubin | Fri, Jun 7th 3:12am EDT
Dwight Smith is expected to "be out for a while" in the estimation of manager Brandon Hyde, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports. "He's going through the concussion protocol, they're going to X-ray his shoulder up here that he banged in the wall and he's holding his jaw. It was like a car wreck." (Rich Dubroff on Twitter)
Fantasy Impact:
Smith crashed face-first into the left-field wall catching a ball in the outfield causing the concussion and also hurting his shoulder. It sounds like Smith will need a trip to the IL and fantasy owners should keep an eye on updates.
