Gerrit Cole allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits over seven innings against the Orioles Friday. He struck out 14.
Fantasy Impact:
The 14 strikeouts represented a season high, and Cole is on pace to set the single-season mark in K/9 and strikeout percentage. Even in today's day and age where high strikeout rates are common, Cole's dominance has not been seen before. He'll take on the Blue Jays in his next start, where the strikeout totals should continue to rise dramatically.
