Jason Vargas earns third win Tuesday

Mets starter Jason Vargas allowed three earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three over six innings in Tuesday’s win over the New York Yankees. The win brings him to 3-3 on the season.
Fantasy Impact:
Despite coming off of a shutout against the San Francisco Giants, many Vargas owners likely avoided his start in Yankee Stadium on Tuesday and thus lost out on the quality start and the win. The veteran lefty continues to pitch well for the Mets, having tossed three consecutive quality starts while allowing just four earned runs over 23 innings. His next start is scheduled to come against the Braves in Atlanta.
