Chris Paddack optioned to Single-A to limit workload

Fantasy Impact:
San Diego wants to limit Paddack's innings this year and one way to do that is to give him "controlled outings" in the minors. The 23-year-old has struggled a bit as of late but still sports a 3.15 ERA on the year to go along with a 72/13 K/BB ratio in 65 2/3 innings. This is a killer for fantasy owners, but the Padres were always likely to limit his innings in one way or another.
