Erick Fedde allows five runs in loss Thursday

by Mike Maher | White Sox Correspondent | Fri, Jun 14th 9:00am EDT

Nationals starter Erick Fedde allowed five earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out just one over six innings in a loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday. The loss drops him to 1-1 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

This was Fedde’s first real hiccup this season, and the two home runs he allowed helped contribute to his first loss. While his ERA is still a respectable 3.68 after this outing, his 5.09 FIP and .248 BABIP while striking out just 5.15 per nine innings indicate that some more trouble could be on the way. He is only owned in 8% of leagues right now, and that number shouldn’t increase before his next start against the Phillies at home.
