Jack Flaherty allows four runs in no-decision Thursday

by Elliott Baas | Tigers Correspondent | Fri, Jun 14th 9:21am EDT

Jack Flaherty allowed four runs on six hits over 5 1/3rd innings Thursday. He walked two and struck out eight. The Cardinals-Mets game was suspended in the bottom of the ninth with a 4-4 score.

Fantasy Impact:

The game may not be in the books yet, but Flaherty is no longer the pitcher of record after a mediocre outing on Thursday. It was more of the same for Flaherty: inefficient with his pitches, walking multiple batters, and serving up a home run. He has a case for one of the best slider's in baseball, but there are still many flaws in this profile that must be worked out before Flaherty can take the next step. Ideally, those would be mid-season adjustments, but that's a tall order for a 23-year-old with one full season under his belt. His next start comes Tuesday vs. Miami.
