Edwin Diaz blows another save Thursday

by Mike Maher | Mets Correspondent | Fri, Jun 14th 9:53am EDT

Mets closer Edwin Diaz allowed two earned runs on two hits and one walk while striking out one over one inning to blow the save in Thursday's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. The game was suspended in the ninth inning at 4-4 and is scheduled to be completed on Friday.

Fantasy Impact:

Diaz now has a 3.38 ERA on the season, which is solid for a starting pitcher but not what teams and fantasy owners are looking for in a closer. He does have 14 saves 44 strikeouts over 26 2/3 innings, however, and remains one of the more valuable fantasy relievers.
