Trevor Richards allows five runs in loss to Pirates Friday
by Mike Maher | Blue Jays Correspondent | Sat, Jun 15th 8:55am EDT
Marlins starter Trevor Richards allowed five earned runs on 11 hits and no walks while striking out just one over five innings in a loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday. The loss drops him to 3-7 on the year.
Fantasy Impact:
Richards had been on an excellent run for the Marlins, allowing just three earned runs combined over his previous four starts to enter Friday’s game with a 3.31 ERA. His ERA is still a solid 3.68 on the year, though his 3-7 record is more indicative of a lackluster Marlins team than how well Richards has been pitching. He is currently scheduled to take on the Cardinals in St. Louis in his next start.
