Phillies outfielder Jay Bruce left Saturday night's game against the Atlanta Braves with left hamstring tightness, according to Phillies beat writer Todd Zolecki. (Todd Zolecki on Twitter)

Bruce was initially acquired by the Phillies to be a left-handed bat off the bench and an occasional starter rather than an everyday starter, and injury concerns for the veteran were part of the reason why. The injury to Andrew McCutchen has changed things, and it appears that it did not take long for Bruce to get dinged up. Look for an update on his status on Sunday but do not be surprised if he misses at least a couple of games.
