Paul Goldschmidt breaks homer drought with 13th bomb Sunday

by Elliott Baas | Cardinals Correspondent | Sun, Jun 16th 5:10pm EDT

Paul Goldschmidt went 1-for-2 with a two-run home run, two walks, and two runs scored in the Cardinals' 4-3 win over the Mets on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Goldschmidt hadn't homered since June 1, but a matchup with Jason Vargas changed that. He still has a respectable .786 OPS on the year, but it's fair to say owners expected more from their second round pick. Owners are best off sticking with Goldschmidt through tough times, as he's proven capable of bouncing back in the past.
