Matt Adams goes deep twice, drives in seven Sunday

by Mike Maher | Nationals Correspondent | Mon, Jun 17th 8:56am EDT

Nationals first baseman Matt Adams went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run, a grand slam, and seven total RBI's in Sunday's win over the Diamondbacks. The homers were his eighth and ninth of the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Adams does not seem to be hampered at all by the back spasms that caused him to miss a few games earlier in the week, considering he homered three times over the weekend. Adams is a solid source of power but will likely continue to platoon, limiting his fantasy appeal to leagues with deeper benches.
