Jhoulys Chacin allowed two runs on six hits over 4 2/3rd innings in the Brewers' 2-0 loss to the Padres on Monday. He walked three and struck out seven while falling to 3-8.
On first glance one might assume Chacin was on a short pitch count since he was returning from the injured list, but it actually took him 102 pitches to get 14 outs. The seven strikeouts were tied for a season high, but Chacin is still far outside the zone of trust in all formats. His next start comes Saturday vs. Cincinnati.
