Nationals starter Max Scherzer tossed seven shutout innings in Wednesday’s win over the Philadelphia Phillies, striking out 10 while allowing for hits and two walks. The win brings him to 6-5 on the season.

Fantasy Impact:

Scherzer was not hampered at all by the broken nose and black eye he was sporting as a result of an accident while practicing bunting on Tuesday, tossing his 11th straight quality start to earn his sixth win of the season. He will now take a 2.62 ERA and 146 strikeouts over 106 1/3 innings into his next start against the Marlins in Miami.
