With Trevor Story (thumb) placed on the injured list, the Rockies opted to recall Rodgers just five days after being initially optioned to the minors. The 22-year-old slashed .246/.300/.277 with seven RBI and a 31.4 percent strikeout rate in 21 games during his first stint with the Rockies. Rodgers will likely fill in for Story in the Rockies' middle infield.
