Rich Hill diagnosed with flexor strain

Rich Hill has been diagnosed with a flexor strain. Early reports indicate that he'll have to wait three-to-four weeks before he's able to pick up a baseball. Hill is hopeful that he'll be able to return this season. (Alanna Rizzo on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

This isn't a guaranteed season-ending injury, but given the timing and the way the Dodgers have played thus far, the team could take their time working Hill back from injury. They have several other options in the rotation that should more than hold them over, which would allow them to work on getting the veteran Hill back for the playoffs. Of course, that's not helpful for fantasy owners that play in leagues that end before the end of the regular season, potentially sometime in early September. For now, it's best to hold Hill on the IL if possible, but his value certainly takes a hit with this news.
