Vince Velaquez tosses five solid innings Saturday

Vince Velasquez allowed one run on one hit and no walks across five innings in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Marlins. He struck out five but did not factor into the decision.
Fantasy Impact:
Velasquez's only blemish was a third inning solo shot by JT Riddle. He showed good control and command of his pitches. The 27-year-old was previously demoted from a rotation spot, but he may have earned himself another chance after Saturday's performance. If he makes another start, it will come on Friday against the Marlins.
