Luis Castillo struggles with his control again

by Dan Harris | Reds Correspondent | Mon, Jun 24th 12:52pm EDT

Luis Castillo allowed four runs on five hits and five walks over 3 2/3 innings on Saturday against the Brewers. He struck out six and took the loss.

Fantasy Impact:

It's remarkable and a testament to Castillo's pure stuff that he has just a 1.17 WHIP despite walking nearly five batters per nine innings this year. Because of Castillo's control problems, he's going to be prone to the occasional blowup, but he's the rare pitcher who can survive despite sub-par command. He will look to bounce back against the Cubs next.
